Mother and grandmother (known as Mema to my granddaughter), I am a long time advocate for the underdog in society - whether it be a child, elderly person, victim of crime or victim of domestic violence. Much of my career has surrounded paralegal centered roles; however, underlining of it all has always been rooted in advocacy roles. To provide a flipside to that culture, I revert to DJing as a means to enjoy music, talking to people and living life from a different perspective from time to time. Between 2009 and to this date, I have also been involved with BlogTalkRadio with my own radio show called Beyond Words Live! (http://blogtalkradio.com/oralhistory), developed my own dv facebook page called Domestic Violence Voices (http://facebook.com/domesticviolencevoices), working in a partnership on National Domestic Violence Survivor Law Project (http://dvsurvivorlaw.com), and so very much more with victims and survivors of domestic violence.
