Mario Flecha (marioflecha)
My literary journey starts in the 60s, in Brazil, a few years after the military dictatorship, at the age of 12. I wrote a Sci-Fi novel, Aventuras Submarinas, largely based on Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea. Besides being a poet and writer, I'm a Journalist and have a Master of Science in Computer Science and Public Administration. I live in Canada since 2001 and became a Canadian citizen in 2005. I'm pursuing new free publishing mechanisms that can help me in the recovery of the origins of literature as art for the sake of art, and a more spontaneous contact between author and reader. I believe there is a new form of freedom for artists to explore with new technologies that empower personal and creative expression. I have published five books.
