In June, 2012 Carrie Quinn successfully defended her dissertation and accepted her Commission as a Captain in the United States Army. In July she left Kansas for the sun-scorched town of San Antonio, Texas. Over the ensuing nine weeks, CPT Quinn was immersed in the world of Army life. This book is a compilation of her blog posts recounting her transitioning from civilian researcher to military officer.
