What do you do when the walls you have built to hide your past are torn down? This is what Macy must face when you returns to the Deep South to help solve a rash of murders that are connected by poetry - poetry by the one poet who Macy used to build her walls. Join her as she travels through the small towns of the South in an attempt to catch a killer before he destroys all that she loves - her friends, her life, and her words.

An Oklahoma native, Chanon Collins currently resides in a small town in South Georgia. She continues to teach high school students about the wonderful world found in the works of literature. It is her hope that through The Gardener, others will experience the beauty and sorrow find in poetry and prose. When Chanon is not teaching or reading, she spends time with her husband and three children.
